There will be a benefit singing for Lena Gray to help with medical expenses.  The singing will be held Sunday, September 5, 2010, at 7:00 p.m., at the New Life Tabernacle in Huntsville.  Everyone welcome.  Donations may be mailed to: New Life Tabernacle, P.O. Box 98, Huntsville, Tennessee 37756.

Standing Stones will be singing at Macedonia Christian Center Sunday, September 5, 2010, at 7:00 p.m.  Everyone welcome.

Rugby Road Methodist Church in Elgin will be celebrating their homecoming Sunday, September 5, 2010.  Sunday School at 9:00 a.m.  Church service will be at 10:30 a.m. with a potluck dinner at 12 noon.  Pastor John Slater and the congregation welcomes all.

Brother Cody Stephens will be the guest speaker at New Haven Baptist Church Sunday, September 5, 2010.  Sunday School begins at 10:00 a.m. with worship service following at 11:00 a.m.  Evening services begin at 6:00 p.m.  Everyone is invited to attend.

The Neal Family featuring Marcus Neal will be singing at the New River Baptist Church Sunday, September 5, 2010, at 11:00 a.m.  Everyone is invited to attend.

Heartland Full Gospel Church will have their monthly benefit dinner Friday, September 10, 2010, at 6:00 p.m.  Menu consists of ham, green beans, mashed potatoes, Cole slaw, rolls, dessert and drink for $5.00.  Carry outs will be available.  Call (423) 286-6370.  Proceeds benefit church expenses.

New Salem Baptist Church will have revival beginning Monday, September 6, 2010, with services at 7:00 p.m. each night.  Brother Clayton Terry and Brother Eugene Byrd will be the evangelists.  Wayne King is pastor and invites everyone to attend.

There will be a singing at Concord Baptist Church on Concord Road in Robbins, Tennessee Saturday, September 11, 2010, beginning at 6:00 p.m.  Featured singers will be Lynn and Gloria Guettnce, Kenneth and Novella Lowe, church singers and others.  Pastor Brother Dowell Phillips and the congregation welcomes everyone.  Come join them for some good gospel singing and preaching.

New Haven Baptist Church will be having their 911 service in recognition of all those who work in the 911 community Sunday, September 12, 2010,  Retired pastor Gene Bond will present the message.  A meal will be serviced immediately following the service.

Gum Fork Community Baptist Church will have homecoming services Sunday, September 12, 2010, at 10:00 a.m.  Featured singers will be the Lowe Family.  Tim Byrge is pastor.  Everyone welcome.

The Sunbright Church of God of Prophecy Women of Grace will have an Autumn Tea Thursday, September 16, 2010, at 7:00 p.m.  Ladies wear your hats.  Prizes will be given.  Everyone is invited for an night of fellowship and fun.  Dress casual.

Concord Independent Baptist Church will have revival beginning Sunday, September 12, 2010.  Sunday services at 4:30 p.m. and weeknights at 7:00 p.m.  Pastor Brother Dowell Phillips, Brother Alan Burkes, Brother Tommy King and others will be preaching.  Special singers each night.  Special singers each night.  The Schofields will be singing on Sunday, New Life Singers on Friday and church singers the rest of the week.

A one day ladies retreat will be held at the Boy's and Girl's Club of Scott County Saturday, October 16, 2010, from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.  The them is "Make Us One" and is hosted by the Helenwood Baptist Church.  Brochures will be available at area churches and the senior citizen's center.  Registration fee of $10.00, which covers all sessions, workshops, journal, refreshments and lunch, is due Thursday, September 26, 2010.  Workshop classes will be held throughout the day with three sessions available, a choice of one workshop per session.  Many speakers, both local and regional, will be participating in this yearly event.  Make your plans now to attend.  For more information or brochures, contact Cheryl Calhoun at (423) 663-3233.
